Culture for a Lifetime

Culture is vibrant in our city. As residents, we are afforded the opportunity to experience that culture in different ways on a daily basis. Many of us have likely heard about “how much there is to do here” from out-of-town guests. Indeed, it is something to be proud of.

The arts in Portland directly contribute to our community and way of life. But it takes support to preserve that culture. The Oregon Cultural Trust is an innovative statewide program whose sole purpose is to raise new funds for the state’s arts, humanities and heritage. By contributing to the Trust, a long-term cultural sustainability is being put in place for generations to come.

As an extra incentive, a contribution to the Trust qualifies you for a 100% tax credit when you make a matching donation to a qualifying cultural non-profit organization. When making your annual contribution to the Symphony this season, I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
